Dismantled plane to be turned into restaurant in western town

A dismantled plane, which has reached its flight limits, will be used as a restaurant in the town of Edremit, located in the western province of Bal?kkesir. 

The plane's transformation into a restaurant began when a private aviation company bought the Airbus A340 plane from Turkish Airlines (THY). The plane was first dismantled into eight parts in Istanbul's Atatürk Airport.

Eight killed in new migrant bus accident in western Turkey

At least seven migrants and the driver were killed, and 42 others were injured, early on Jan. 9 in the western province of Bal?kesir when a bus carrying migrants overturned.

The accident came one day after six people, including four migrants, were killed in the Aegean province of Çanakkale when a bus carrying migrants collided with a car.

24 terror suspects sent to court in Istanbul

A total of 24 suspected members of to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and outlawed Marxist-Leninist Communist Party (MLKP) were sent to court on Dec. 7, judicial sources said.

The suspects, including four PKK members and 20 MLKP members, were detained in two separate operations on Dec. 4 in Istanbul, police said, according to Anadolu Agency.
