Tsipras and Schulz discuss refugee issue and Greek program implementation

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met European Parliament President Martin Schulz and discussed on European Parliament’s role in the process for reviewing the Greek program, as well as Greece’s positions on the refugee issue.

On refugee issue, both sides stressed the need for greater financial support to the countries of first reception, as well of a viable refugee relocation mechanism, according to a statement from the office of prime minister.
