Hollande: France will be on Greece’s side

The meeting between French President Francois Hollande and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras begun shortly after 10 am on Friday.

Mr. Tsipras gave the French President a tour of Maximos Mansion, while Mr. Hollande said he was pleased by this friendly welcome. For once more, he referred to the courage of the Greek government to negotiate once again with the Europeans for the challenging reforms.

Mr. Hollande said that he understood what Greek people had to go through due to the crisis and stressed that France would continue being on Greece’s side.

The French President also referred to the refugee issue saying that France would not abandon Greece in that challenging and difficult period.

“I came here with French businessmen who want to invest in Greece. Solidarity is more than just words, it’s actions, too” he stressed.

Mr. Tsipras said that it was a great pleasure and honor to have Mr. Hollande in Greece especially now which is a very critical period and underlying the words of French President he said what France would have been without Greece and what Greece would have been without France.
