Greek experts to draft study for Larnaca port and marina

Greece's Ports Planning Authority at the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) is undertaking to draft a study to determine the best development approach for the port and marina of Larnaca in Cyprus in a fast-tracked procedure that Nicosia announced on Tuesday.

It followed the agreement reached at a meeting on the same day between the Cypriot government and Larnaca stakeholders regarding the future development of the city's port and marina, marking a significant step forward for the region. The agreement was achieved at the Presidential Palace, resolving prior disagreements and setting the stage for implementation.

Cyprus Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades announced that the agreement will circumvent lengthy bidding processes for experts, significantly reducing delays.
