The face flashing across global media outlets was not the face of the woman reportedly killed in the apartment but another random woman who lives in Morocco. “I have no connection to Hasna or terrorism,” she tells AJ+. “My only connection is that my photos were sold to the journalist who published it by a friend she made while living in France.” Her family thought that she was the woman who died.
