Scorpions 50th Anniversary Tour to Include Sofia Concert on July 17
The legendary German rock band, Scorpions, marks their 50th anniversary with a new album and a world tour which includes the Bulgarian capital city, Sofia Music Enterprises has announced.
The concert is scheduled for July 17 at Arena Armeec hall in Sofia.
The performers of Wind of Change come back to the Bulgarian stage for a third time. More than 15,000 people gathered under a rainfall to attend their concert in Sofia in October 2010.
Almost six years later, Bulgaria has once again become one of the favourite stops in the country tour list of the group.
Alongside their anniversary, the veterans celebrate their 19th album "Return to Forever," which has been enjoying a huge success in France, Germany, Greece, Japan and Switzerland.
Globally, Scorpons have sold more than 100 million copies of their albums with more than 5,000 concerts in 80 countries. The group have had a special relationship with Eastern Europe with their song of the 1990s Wind of Change, which became the rock musical symbol of the fall of communism.
