Australian punk-rock band Amyl and the Sniffers will play their first Greek show on November 29 at Floyd (117 Pireos). Renowned for their electrifying live performances, the band, formed in 2016, blends '70s punk, Australian rock and rap into a fierce, high-energy sound.

Renowned guitarist Marc Ribot and his trio, Ceramic Dog, will make their debut in Greece at Gazarte Ground Stage (34 Voutadon) on November 13. Known for their unique sound that blends rock, jazz, blues and experimental music, Ceramic Dog has garnered exceptional reviews, while their latest critically acclaimed album, "Connection," has been welcomed and celebrated by fans.

Two local bands are set to take the stage for an evening dedicated to experimental nu-jazz at Romantso (3-5 Anaxagora). Teleferik will present their new album characterized by cosmic grooves and spacy melodies. Their sound is a mix of electronic, psy/space and nu-jazz/rock orchestrated with psychedelic harmonies.

The UK alternative rock band Tindersticks returns to Greece to perform at the Christmas Theater (137 Veikou) on November 2. After a very successful show at the Athens Concert Hall in 2022, they are coming back armed with new material set to be released in a new album, "Soft Tissue," on September 13. British rock band Puressence returns to Greece after 10 years for a live performance at Floyd (117 Pireos) on December 14. British duo The KVB will perform at Gazarte Ground Stage in Athens on November 16. The KVB, whose unique blend of shoegaze and minimalist electronic music is infused with traditional goth rock, bring their resonant vibes to Athens after a performance at Eightball Club in Thessaloniki the night before.

Health, the industrial rock band from Los Angeles, will visit Athens on June 26 for what promises to be a spectacular performance at Temple (17 Iakchou). Rock musician Antonis Tourkogiorgis has died at the age of 72, a friend and colleague of his, Kostas Bigalis, posted Sunday.

Along with guitarist Yannis Spathas, Tourkogiorgis, who sang and played bass guitar, were the mainstays of local rock group Socrates Drank the Conium, also well-known simply as Socrates, from 1969 to 2010, when Tourkogiorgis first faced serious health issues.

Mary J. Blige, Cher, Foreigner, A Tribe Called Quest, Kool & The Gang and Ozzy Osbourne have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a class that also includes folk-rockers Dave Matthews Band and singer-guitarist Peter Frampton.
