Tributes paid to victims of bombing of RTS
BELGRADE - Wreaths were laid and candles lit in downtown Belgrade last night at the memorial to the 16 Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) employees killed in a NATO air strike in 1999.
Family members, colleagues and friends gathered in Belgrade's Aberdareva Street at 2:06 am - the exact time of the deadly strike 17 years ago - to pay their tributes, also observing a minute of silence.
The commemoration was attended by RTS CEO Dragan Bujosevic, Chairman of the Board of Directors Vladimir Vuletic and Association of Journalists of Serbia President Ljiljana Smajlovic, the RTS reported.

NATO chiefs maintained that the attack was justified.
