Nikolic extends condolences to Hollande

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Friday extended condolences to French counterpart Francois Hollande in the wake of Thursday's terror attack in Nice, which killed over 80 people and injured 175 others, including dozens seriously.

"We were horrified by the news of the terrorist attack in Nice, which killed a large number of innocent people. Serbia has become speechless in the wake of this senseless act, out of sympathy with the pain and grief of the people of France," Nikolic wrote in a message of condolence.

This act of terrorism, committed on the very day the people of France celebrated their national day, is an attack on all the values the day symbolises - liberty, equality and fraternity, Nikolic noted.
