Partizan held to goalless draw, Vojvodina win, Cukaricki lose

BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade were held to a goalless draw by Polish side Zaglebie Lubin at home in Thursday's first leg of the second round of UEFA Europa League qualifiers.

Thanks to a great performance by goalkeeper Martin Polacek, Zaglebie came away undefeated despite being down to ten men from the 55th minute, when Michal Papadopulos was sent off.

Elsewhere, Vojvodina's Marko Palocevic scored the winning goal for the Novi Sad outfit in the 86th minute of the home leg against Welsh side Connahs Quay Nomads.

Cukaricki Belgrade lost 2-0 to Videoton Szekesfehervar away from home, with Adam Bodi and Asmir Suljic netting for the Hungarian side.

The second legs of the Europa League qualifiers will be played next Thursday.

If they knock out Maltese side Valletta, Red Star Belgrade will face the winner of the tie between Bulgaria's Ludogorets...
