Serbia and Ireland draw in first World Cup qualifier

The Serbia men's national football team drew 2-2 at home with the Republic of Ireland at the start of the football World Cup 2018 qualifying on Monday.

The Republic of Ireland took the lead at Belgrade's Rajko Mitic Stadium through Jeff Hendrick in the 2nd minute of the game. Serbia turned the game around thanks to goals from Filip Kostic (62nd min) and Dusan Tadic (68th min pen), but Daryl Murphy scored in the 81st minute to make it 2-2.
