Vucic, Szijjarto discuss region, bilateral relations

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic met with Hungarian FM Peter Szijjarto on Friday to discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the region.

They agreed the ties between the two countries and nations had never been better in the history of their political relations, adding that efforts must be made to enhance economic cooperation, the Serbian government press office said in a statement.

Vucic thanked Szijjarto for personally supporting Serbia on its European path.

Szijjarto, who was in Belgrade for a China-Hungary-Serbia trilateral meeting on building a high-speed rail line from Belgrade to Budapest, was also received earlier in the day by Serbian FM Ivica Dacic, Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic and Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic.
