Vucic to visit Budapest Thursday

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will be in Budapest on Thursday for a second session of a Serbia-Hungary council on strategic cooperation.

The session will be attended by members of the governments of the two countries, who will afterwards sign a series of bilateral documents, the presidential press office has announced in a statement.

BELGRADE - The Serbia men's national football team will play Russia and Cyprus in away friendlies scheduled for March, the Football Association of Serbia has announced on its website.

Serbia will first face Russia in Moscow on March 21 and then Cyprus in Limassol on March 25.

In addition to the known conditions related to the rule of law and the normalization of relations with Pristina, the report emphasizes that compliance with EU foreign policy, including sanctions against Russia, will determine the further course of accession negotiations, according to RTS.

Vucic welcomed Putin at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, and the two presidents then took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Cemetery of the Liberators of Belgrade and at the Monument to the Red Army Soldier in the Serbian capital.

Putin was then given the official red carpet welcome in front of the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade.
