Two soldiers killed in PKK attack in Turkey's east
Two soldiers were killed in an attack conducted by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on Oct. 3, during the passage of a military vehicle in the Yüksekova district of the eastern province of Hakkari.
PKK militants remotely detonated a handmade explosive placed in the Kamışlı village near Geçkan district.
One soldier who was also wounded in the attack was taken to Yüksekova State Hospital.
Meanwhile, one PKK militant surrendered to security forces during an operation which was launched to apprehend militants in the Ağaçdibi village of Hakkari.
