International Satire fest to be held on October 12

BELGRADE - The international "Satire Fest 2016" festival of humor and satire will take place on October 12 at the Kolarac Foundation, the organizer, the Belgrade Aphoristic Circle, has announced.

The 14th Satire Fest will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of writer Petar Kocic (1877-1916).

International and Serbian satirists will participate, and the Best Aphorism Award and the Best Story and Satirical Poem Award, as well as many acknowledgements, will be presented at the festival.

This year's Satire Fest garnered entries from 195 authors from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Switzerland, Romania, Slovakia and other countries.

The festival will begin with the laying of flowers at the bust of satirist Radoje Domanovic (1873-1908) in Kalemegdan Park, Belgrade.
