EUR 400k to be spent on monument dedicated to France
An agreement has been signed on Tuesday on "the renewal of the Monument of Gratitude to France," the Serbian government has announced.
The monument, located at the Belgrade's Kalemegdan, was raised after the First World War, during which the two countries were allies.
International Satire fest to be held on October 12
BELGRADE - The international "Satire Fest 2016" festival of humor and satire will take place on October 12 at the Kolarac Foundation, the organizer, the Belgrade Aphoristic Circle, has announced.
The 14th Satire Fest will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of writer Petar Kocic (1877-1916).

Museum Night tries to break number 13 spell across Serbia
BELGRADE - The Museum Night is being held for the thirteenth time, with around 250 events, in over 40 towns and cities of Serbia, with Belgrade alone opening to the night over 60 venues with around one hundred events, on Saturday.
Days of Lilac event held in Belgrade
BELGRADE - The Days of Lilac event was held in Belgrade on Sunday to mark the 765th anniversary of the arrival of the French princess Helen of Anjou in Serbia and her marriage to King Uros I.
The event, traditionally held in Kraljevo, the hub of the Serbian state of Rascia in the 11th century, had its premiere in the Serbian capital this time around.

Children's Tour to feature at 12th Museum Night
BELGRADE - The 12th Museum Night, to be held in Belgrade on May 16, will include the first-ever Children's Tour of venues presenting new and exclusive content to the youngest museum lovers and their parents.
The central point on the kids' tour map is Cvijeta Zuzoric Art Pavilion at the Belgrade fortress, which will turn into the Children's Pavilion for the night.

Kalemegdan Summer Festival kicks off in June
BELGRADE - The Kalemegdan Summer Festival will be held from June 6 to August 28 at Belgrade's Kalemegdan Fortress.
The festival will comprise three major events: Happy Life, Serbia Wonderland and Tropical Inn, featuring line-ups of top DJs playing various genres of electronic music, public company "Beogradska tvrdjava" said in a release.
