32nd Belgrade Jazz Festival opens

BELGRADE - The 32nd Belgrade Jazz Festival, held under the slogan of "Planet Jazz", opened at Dom Omladine in Belgrade Wednesday.

Belgrade City Manager Goran Vesic opened the festival at a ceremony followed by a performance by the Vlada Maricic quartet feat. Brian Lynch (Serbia/USA).

In the coming days, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by the Tinke Postma quartet (Netherlands), Vesna Pisarovic (Croatia), the Horse orchestra (Denmark, Norway), the Antonio Serrano Quintet (Spain), the Avishai Cohen Trio (Israel), the David Helbock Trio (Austria), the Jack DeJohnette Trio featuring Ravi Coltrane and Matt Garrison (USA), Aziza: Dave Holland, Chris Potter, Lionel Louek, Eric Harland (USA).

For the first time ever, a part of the program will be hosted by Sava Center and the organizers expect a record number of 15,000 visitors.
