McAllister's draft resolution on Serbia due in early January

BRUSSELS - The European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia David McAllister will present a draft resolution on Serbia's progress in Brussels in early January, Tanjug's correspondent reports.

The annual resolution on Serbia should be passed by the European Parliament in mid-March.

McAllister's office has told Tanjug the resolution was under preparation and that it should be tabled to the members of the EP's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) in early January.

The first official presentation of the draft before the AFET is scheduled for January 9.

McAllister's office expects the AFET to adopt the document by the end of February.

The final resolution on Serbia is expected to be passed at the EP's March 13-16 plenary session in Strasbourg.
