Red Star Belgrade crush Maccabi in basketball Euroleague

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade crushed Maccabi Tel Aviv 83-58 (19-14, 23-10, 23-18, 18-16) at home in the 12th round of the basketball Euroleague late Thursday.

It was the Belgraders' first win at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, and they are now tied with the Israeli giants at 5-7.

Marko Simonovic led the scoring for Red Star with 14 points, followed by Ognjen Kuzmic with 12 and Milko Bjelica with 11, and DJ Seeley excelled for Maccabi with 15 points.

Red Star face Olympiacos Athens on the road in the next round on Tuesday.
