Bozovic to remain Red Star Belgrade manager

BELGRADE - Montenegrin football manager Miodrag Bozovic on Monday confirmed he would remain in charge at Red Star Belgrade in the second half of the 2016/2017 season next spring.

Following speculation that he might resign after clinching the Serbian Superliga top spot at the end of the autumn part of the season, Bozovic said he would see out the club's title defence campaign.

"I am staying at Red Star, that is the deal," Bozovic said in a brief statement to the Vecernje novosti daily.

Bozovic, a former Red Star defender who has also managed other clubs in Serbia, as well as in Montenegro, Cyprus, Japan and Russia, took over as the Red Star boss in the summer of 2015, winning one league title with the club.
