Djuric: Int'l community must halt establishment of Kosovo army

BELGRADE - Serbia strongly opposes establishment of a so-called Kosovo army in our southern province, Marko Djuric, head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija, said Tuesday.

"We demand that the international community halt without delay this dangerous escalation of political relations in the southern province," Djuric said after Kosovo President Hasim Taci presented earlier in the day to Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veselji a draft bill on transforming the Kosovo Security Force into a Kosovo army.
