Main opposition party could withdraw from parliament: Spokeswoman

Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) could consider withdrawing from parliament in protest at irregularities in the April 16 referendum, the party's spokeswoman, Selin Sayek Böke, has said on April 19.

"We do not recognize the referendum result," she said. 

"There should be no doubt that we will exercise all our democratic rights against it." Böke said, adding that the referendum should be held again because its legitimacy was being questioned both in Turkey and internationally.
