No national train services on Thursday

National train services will be operating as normal Tuesday and Wednesday but not Thursday after a three-day strike heralded by workers was scaled back to a 24-hour walkout following protests.

The original strike action declared by the workers prompted the management of railway operator Trainose to cancel all scheduled routes for the next three days, which in turn prompted protests from passengers, who said they would not renew their monthly travel cards.

The upheaval promoted the union to revoke the walkout for Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be no services on Thursday though as rail drivers are holding a 24-hour strike.
