EasyJet flight to Basel makes emergency landing at Thessaloniki airport

A flight to the Swiss city of Basel had to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from the northern Greek port city of Thessaloniki, Skai reported on Tuesday.

The EasyJet flight's pilot radioed in for assistance after smoke was seen in the cockpit a few minutes after take-off from the city's Makedonia airport.

An inspection revealed that the smoke was caused by a short circuit.

No one was injured in the incident and the flight's 152 passengers were redirected to other flights, Skai said.
