Petrovic: Salary, pension increase should not exceed 5 pct

BELGRADE - There is room for a public sector salary and pension increase in 2018 - it amounts to an average 5 pct, which corresponds to GDP growth, Fiscal Council President Pavle Petrovic said Friday.

For the first time after three years of fiscal consolidation, room is opening up for a result-based increase of spending, Petrovic told a conference on fiscal trends in 2017 and proposed policies for 2018.
