Croatian president blasted for "uttering bunch of nonsense"
This is according to President of the Alliance of Serbs from the Region Miodrag Linta, who commented on Grabar-Kitarovic saying that although the Hague found the country's 1990s-era state leaders to have been members of a joint criminal enterprise, it was Serbia, rather than Croatia, who was "the aggressor."
"It is good that the Hague Tribunal, if only in one of its final verdicts, finally confirmed the indisputable fact that Croatia was an aggressor and that it led a conquering war. The Serbs in Croatia, the JNA (Yugoslav People's Army), and Bosnia-Herzegovina were attacked by Tudjman's Croatia with the aim of realizing the project of 'Greater Croatia' modeled after the Nazi-Fascist (WW2) Independent State of Croatia (NDH)," Linta said in a statement for the media.
He pointed out that it was "obvious" that Grabar-Kitarovic, Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovic, other Croatian officials and veterans are now "very nervous" because at the end of its work, the Hague Tribunal, even if with its final verdict, established the truth that the so-called Homeland War was "neither defensive nor liberating but a conquering and criminal one."
"The said truth was also established with the non-final verdict against Croatian generals Gotovina and Markac in April 2011, that was unfortunately abolished under pressure from the great powers," Linta recalled.
