Attack on Tavros post office and Syriza branch

Five unknown men attacked a Hellenic Post branch at the western Athens district of Tavros as well as the neighboring offices of the ruling Syriza party in the early hours of Friday.

The hooded men caused significant damage at the front of the post office using sledgehammers.

The crew of a police car caught sight of the assailants and tried to approach them but the men ran away.

The investigation is now focusing on video material from the area.
