Greece among most miserable economies, according to Bloomberg index

Greece ranks as the joint-fifth most miserable economy in 2018, according to the forecasts made in Bloomberg's Misery Index.

The annual index examines inflation and unemployment outlooks for 66 economies. It ranks Greece joint-fifth with Turkey, with a "misery" value of 20.6 points. Greece was the sixth most miserable economy in 2017, with 22.7 points.

Venezuela ranks as the worst-off economy for the fourth year in a row, followed by South Africa, Argentina and Egypt.

Thailand is seen being the least miserable this year, as was the case in 2017. It is followed by Singapore, Japan and Switzerland.
