Nikolic meets with Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd representatives

BELGRADE - Tomislav Nikolic, who chairs a national council coordinating Serbia's cooperation with Russia and China, said at Monday's meeting with representatives of the Chinese Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd that, following the successful privatisation of the Smederevo steel mill, the group's potential strategic partnership with the RTB Bor mining and smelting complex would strengthen the Sino-Serbian friendship further.

The Zijin Mining Group representatives said the company had long-term plans and that its policy devoted great attention to environmental protection and to serving mutual interests in the countries where it was operating, rather than just to corporate profits.
