Djedovic Handanovic meets with Chinese vice minister of natural resources
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic met with Chinese Vice Minister of Natural Resources Zhuang Shaoqin on Thursday to discuss cooperation and projects in mining, renewable energy sources and ties between educational and scientific institutions of the two countries.

Chinese company takes over Serbian copper mines & smelter
Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic and Vice President and Executive Director of Zijin Mining George Fang signed the acquisition contract today.
Chinese company to take over RTB Bor
The Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic explained that the Chinese company submitted the best binding bid in the amount of $1 billion and 260 million out of which $350 million would go to mandatory monetary capital increase.
The company's obligations also include keeping all 5,000 workers and providing additional $200 million for previous debts.

Vecernje Novosti reports that the interested companies are Chinese Zijin Mining, Ugold Limited based in Cyprus and backed by Russian capital and Canadian-Finnish investment fund Champion Iron.

Vucic receives Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd representatives
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Monday received Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd representatives, who said the Chinese company was interested in taking part in a tender for a strategic partnership in Serbia's RTB Bor mining and smelting complex.
The Serbian government plans to launch the tender in the first half of this year.
