Increase in Prices of Electricity, Heating and Hot Water in Bulgaria from 1 July
Prices of Electricity and heating are expected to rise on July 1. The cost of household electricity will jump 1.89%, it became clear after a public discussion in the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission.
The increase in the final price is several times lower than that demanded by the three electricity distribution companies. For CEZ subscribers, the increase will be 1.7%, for EVN - 1.8%, and for Energo Pro clients by 2.6%.
BGNES recalls that CEZ Electro Bulgaria has proposed to increase the night rate by 51% per kilowatt hour and the daily rate by 5%. EVN requested an increase in the daily rate by 6.19% and the night rate by 21.6%. According to the requests of the Commission for Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, the biggest increase was requested by Bourgas District Heating Company - 9.06%, District Heating Pleven - 6.12% , Pernik District Heating Company - 4,16%, and those in Ruse and Sliven - over 3% For Sofia, the offered price is about 1,5%, and for Plovdiv may even become cheaper, the price of heat in the capital is 79 BGN for megawatt hours, and in Plovdiv it is 82 BGN.
However, these accounts do not reflect the demand of Bulgargaz - increase the price of gas by 16 per cent. If gas prices rise by more than 5 per cent, prices of electricity and heating and hot water will rise as of July, and final prices will become clear at the end of June .
