Greece warns: If Turks land on islet, we'll flatten it
Tanjug is reporting this on Thursday, citing Macedonia's MIA agency.
In conversations with Greek reporters, Apostolakis stressed the military's operative capabilities and preparedness in case Greece's sovereignty and territorial integrity are threatened.
"If they land on an islet, we will flatten it. And this is a red line that is adopted by the government as well," the army chief said, according to Greek newspaper Kathimerini, adding that it was most important for his country to secure peace in the region.
Commenting on the strategic dialogue between the US and Greece last week, Apostolakis said that Washington was "looking for ways to ensure a balance in the region," while Greece "works as a bridge and plays a positive role."
