Yellow Code for Cold Weather in 12 Areas in Bulgaria

A yellow code for dangerous cold weather has been announced in 12 districts in Western and Central Bulgaria for today, Feb. 24.

Temperatures in Sofia, Sofia, Pernik, Lovech, Gabrovo, Targovishte, Razgrad and Shumen will remain negative throughout the day. In the mountainous part of Montana, Vratsa and Veliko Tarnovo, the daily temperatures will also remain below zero, BNR reported.

Sunshine will prevail, over Southeastern Bulgaria will have a considerable clouds, and in some places there will be snowfall. The wind will be from the north-northeast, will be weak, in the eastern regions - moderate. Maximum temperatures will typically be between minus 2 ° and 3 °.

Above the mountains the cloud will be variable, more significant than the eastern half of the country. It's almost without precipitation. Maximum temperature at 1200 meters - about minus 5 °, 2000 meters - about minus 10 °.
