Bulgaria: Non-Food Retail Chains Resume Work after Threat to Stage Protests
Under the threat of a possible protest issued by non-food hypermarkets yesterday, the authorities decided to open them. Health Minister Kostadin Angelov announced that this will be written down in an order he will make public today. It will require stores to provide 8-10 sq m of shopping area per each customer. Such was the proposal of hypermarkets - to work admitting a certain number of visitors at a time.
The order will also include the adopted schedule for the return of students to schools, but it will cover the period until April 30, because until then the emergency epidemic situation is in effect.
