HIT posts EUR 10m loss for 2020
Nova Gorica – Slovenia’s largest gaming company HIT, whose facilities were closed for almost six months last year, generated EUR 100.7 million in gross revenue in 2020 and a loss of EUR 10.4 million. The shareholders did not confirm the proposal on the sharing of profit at today’s meeting.
The proposal envisaged the sharing of up to 10% of net profit that the company would generate in 2022.
HIT last paid out dividends in 2019. It allocated EUR 1.15 million of the distributable profit, which stood at EUR 4.42 million, for dividends.
Last year, HIT casinos and hotels were closed for almost six months due to the epidemic, including at the end of the year, when casinos make the most profit. All 1,600 employees were on furlough.
HIT’s closure also affected the revenue of the Goriško regional municipalities.
At today’s shareholders’ meeting, at which 83% of the capital was present, the company’s chief supervisors Gregor Bajraktarević got another four-year term, and Vasja Medvešček was appointed supervisor to replace Irma Frelih as the representative of Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SSH).
Both Bajraktarević’s and Frelih’s terms expire on 19 June.
