Tsipras to visit Berlin, meet Scholz

The leader of main opposition SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, will travel to Berlin on Thursday for a two-day visit.

Tsipras plans to address Greeks living in Germany at an event organized by the city's SYRIZA organization on Thursday at 8 p.m.

This will be followed by a meeting with the leadership of Germany's left-wing party, Die Linke. 

On his second day, on Friday, Tsipras will meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Willy Brandt Haus, the headquarters of the center-left Social Democrats (SPD), at 9 a.m. in an effort to convey the message that SYRIZA remains a committed proponent of European social democracy.
