Vucic meets with Lajcak, voices concerns over security of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday informed the EU's special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak of the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and voiced deep concerns over security risks faced by the Serb population there on a daily basis.

"I called for greater EU engagement to preserve peace and ensure our people stay in their ancestral homes," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile after meeting with Lajcak on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

He added that he had noted that Serbia would "make any diplomatic and political effort to protect its people and its country."
