SNS wins 49 seats in Belgrade city assembly
BELGRADE - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) electoral list in Sunday's local polls in Belgrade, named Belgrade Must Not Stop, won 39.34 pct of votes, or 49 seats, in the city assembly.
According to preliminary results based on 92.54 pct of votes counted, the Serbia Against Violence list garnered 32.17 pct of votes, or 42 seats, the city electoral commission said on Monday.
The HOPE Coalition has 6.01 pct of votes, or seven seats, and is followed by a coalition led by the Socialist Party of Serbia with 4.8 pct, or six seats in the assembly, the We - A Voice From The People electoral list with 5.37 pct, or six seats.
Other electoral lists, including those of the National Gathering coalition, the People's Party and the Good Morning, Serbia coalition, remained below the electoral threshold.
