Announcement of Panhellenic Examination Results

On Friday, June 28, 2024, after 13:00, the results of the Panhellenic Examinations for General Lyceum (GEL) and Vocational Lyceum (EPAL) students will be released, according to the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports.

The results will be posted in all GEL and EPAL schools nationwide, showing only the candidate’s code and their scores for each subject. If a candidate does not have their code, the (sub)directors of GEL and EPAL are instructed to inform the candidate of their scores using the detailed score sheets that include the candidates’ names.

Candidates can also check their scores online at https://results.it.minedu.gov.gr by entering their eight-digit code and the first four characters of their surname, first name, patronymic, and maiden name in capital Greek letters. Additionally, candidates who have previously submitted an application will receive their scores via SMS.

The Ministry of Education emphasizes that Education Directors and School Managers must ensure that the results are not communicated before the official announcement time on Friday, June 28, 2024, after 13:00.

Expected Score Trends

Early estimates suggest a significant decrease in the number of high achievers (scores between 18-20) in this year’s Panhellenic Examinations, with such scores not expected to exceed 10% overall. This trend is anticipated to result in a drop in scores, particularly in high-demand fields like Law, Medicine, and Engineering.

For the 1st Humanities Orientation Group, scores are predicted to drop by about 200 points. Notably, excellent scores in History and Ancient Greek are expected to be rare, with only about 10% of History candidates achieving high scores and approximately 40% of Ancient Greek candidates scoring below the pass mark.

For the 2nd and 3rd Orientation Groups (Science and Health Studies), Physics is expected to play a critical role, with only 1 in 25 candidates achieving an ‘A’. Consequently, Engineering and Medical Schools are projected to see a drop of over 500 points in their admission scores.

In Mathematics, more than 50% of candidates are expected to score below the pass mark, with less than 10% achieving high scores. The Health Studies Orientation Group is also expected to see a drop of more than 400 points, with up to 60% of candidates scoring below the pass mark.

The Economics and Computer Science Orientation Group is expected to see minimal fluctuation in scores, with a range of 100 points up or down. Approximately 70% of Mathematics papers are predicted to score below the pass mark, and only 3% are expected to achieve ‘A’ grades.

Today, June 28, 2024, is the deadline for creating codes for submitting the Computerized Form (M.D.) and Parallel Computerized Form (P.M.D.) for those who participated in this year’s Panhellenic Examinations. The results for the special subjects of the Panhellenic Examinations, which conclude today, will be announced in the first week of July. The submission of the computerized forms will follow in the second week, and the admission bases for universities, along with the names of successful candidates, will be announced in the last week of July, similar to the previous year.
