One arrest and fines for fires in Chania, Corfu, Ilia, Ioannina, Thessaloniki and Evia
The Fire Department has made an arrest and imposed administrative fines for fires in Chania, Corfu, Ilia, Ioannina, Thessaloniki and Evia.
In particular:
- On 08 July 2024, a native was arrested by investigating officers of the I.P.Y.N. Chania for causing a fire during the execution of hot work at a building site in the Xylokamara area of the municipality of Chania, Crete. An administrative fine of €2,320.31 was imposed.
- An administrative fine of €1,875 was imposed on 08 July 2024 by investigative officials of the I.P.Y.N. Corfu on a local resident who burned dry grass within a building site in the area of Petritis, in the Municipality of South Corfu, in violation of legislation.
- An administrative fine of €2,075.39 was imposed on 08 July 2024 by investigative officials of the P.Y. Amaliada on a resident for causing a fire with dry grass within a building site in the area of Lavdeika, in the Municipality of Amaliada, Ilia, in violation of legislation.
- An administrative fine of €1,953.12 was imposed yesterday, 07 July 2024, by investigating officials of the I.P.Y.N. Ioannina on a waste management company for a fire that broke out within a landfill site in the district of Elliniko, in the Municipality of North Tzoumerka, Ioannina, in violation of legislation.
- An administrative fine of €2,250 was imposed yesterday, 07 July 2024, by investigating officials of the 2nd EMAK of Thessaloniki on a resident who burned crop residues within a plot of land in the district of Tagarades, in the Municipality of Thermi, Thessaloniki, in violation of legislation.
- An administrative fine of €1,968.75 was imposed yesterday, 07 July 2024, by investigating officials of the P.Y. of Chalkida on a resident who burned dry grasses within a land plot in the district of Kamaritsas, in the Municipality of Dirfya Messapia, Euboea, in violation of legislation.
