Antetokounmpo and Ntrismpioti named Greece’s flag bearers for Paris Olympics

Greek basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo and race walker Antigoni Ntrismpioti have been chosen as the flag bearers for Greece in the Paris Olympic Games.

The selection was made by an absolute majority of the Greek Olympic Committee.

Other candidates included tennis player Maria Sakkari, swimmer Evangelia Platanioti and water polo player Margarita Plevritou. Long jumper Miltos Tentoglou and pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi requested not to be considered as flag bearers to avoid disrupting their preparation programs.
