Prosecutor summons four business people to testify in wiretapping scandal

Four business people testified Wednesday before a Supreme Court prosecutor as suspects in the wiretapping scandal that targeted politicians, businessmen and media figures.

The 2021 espionage scandal-dubbed "Predatorgate"- involves wiretaps that targeted the electronic devices of politicians, businessmen and media figures.

According to sources, Achilleas Zisis, a deputy prosecutor at the court, summoned the four suspects linked to businesses implicated in the case.

Zisis recently conducted a surprise raid on Greece's National Intelligence Service (EYP) offices to uncover further suspects.

He has also heard from over 40 witnesses, including former Prime Minister's General Secretary Grigoris Dimitriadis, prosecutor Vasiliki Vlachou, PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis, journalist Thanasis Koukakis and former intelligence head Panagiotis Kontoleon.
