Olympic Games 2024: Schedule and Viewing Information for Greek Athletes Today

Today marks the first day of the Olympic Games competitions following the official opening ceremony, and the Greek flag will be represented in both individual and team sports.

Greece will participate in seven different sports on this first day of competition, Saturday, July 27.

The first Greek athlete to compete was Stefanos Ntouskos at 10:00 AM. The gold medalist in single sculls advanced to the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games, finishing second in the first heat of the preliminaries with a time of 7:01.55.

Next, the swimmers will compete at La Défense Arena, followed by Lefteris Petrounias in the rings preliminaries at Bercy Arena.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Zizou Bergs in the first round of men’s singles, while Anna Korakaki and Christina Moschi will participate in the women’s 10m air pistol preliminaries.

Greece will have two entries in team sports: the women’s national water polo team against the USA and the men’s national basketball team against Canada.
