Kyparissia: 39-year-old truck driver released with restrictions for the fatal accident

The 39-year-old driver of the truck that caused the deadly traffic accident on the National Road Pyrgos – Kyparissia, at the height of Elaia, was released early, after his plea, with the agreement of the investigator and the prosecutor.

Specifically, he was imposed the restrictive conditions of prohibition to leave the country, removal of the driving license and prohibition to issue a new one for any motor vehicle. Also, the 39-year-old will have to present himself three times a month at the Zacharo Police Station.

The accused in the accident, which claimed the lives of four people, including two children, and resulted in injuries to five others, declined, through his lawyer, to make any statement regarding the case, according to ERT.

It is noted that, due to his injury, he apologized at his home in Zacharo, where the prosecutor and the investigator went earlier for this reason.
