Tommy Hilfiger sold the mega yacht “Flag” to a Greek shipowner for 39.5 million euros

American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger has sold what he described as his “most prized possession”, the luxury mega yacht Flag. The 62.3m (204ft) long Feadship was sold by Merle Wood & Associates in a deal with Torrance Yachts. It is unclear how much the yacht changed hands for, but he was last asking 39,500,000 euros. He reportedly sold it to a Greek shipowner from a family traditional in the shipping industry.

Tommy Hilfiger commented in an interview a few years ago that owning a superyacht is like running an expensive business to add:

“If I get the right price, I’ll sell it and maybe build something bigger.” He’d probably get the right price for it. It was delivered in 2000. It was built by Feadship and features exterior design and naval architecture signed by De Voogt Naval Architects. Formerly known as Faith, it was owned by Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman of Aston Martin. Tommy Hilfiger bought it from him in 2017 and has used it as a summer home in recent years, traveling the Mediterranean from St Tropez to Portofino, Sardinia and Capri.
