Menidi: ELAS on High Alert After Man Found With Grenade and Ammunition

The authorities were alerted on Wednesday evening after receiving information about the existence of grenades and bullets on Athanasios Bosda Street in Menidi -an area where mainly Roma people live.

According to information from the ELAS, police officers rushed to the scene, who spotted a man, who at the sight of them started running, throwing at least one grenade on the ground, as well as bullets.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with officers having so far made one man’s arrest. It should be noted, however, that it is still unclear whether it is the man who threw the grenade.
