US Elections 2024: George Bush’s daughter supports Kamala Harris
Barbara Bush, one of the daughters of former Republican President George W. Bush, has announced her support for Kamala Harris in her bid for the White House.
A week before the November 5 presidential election, Barbara Bush joined the Democratic candidate’s campaign, going door-to-door in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state.

“It was exciting to reconnect with friends and meet voters with the campaign team. I hope they’ll help propel our country forward and protect women’s rights,” she told People magazine.
Barbara Bush, who considers herself an independent, comes from a renowned Republican political family. She is the daughter of former President George W. Bush (2001-2009) and the granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush (1989-1993).
Her father, who has distanced himself from politics since the end of his term, has not supported either candidate. However, Kamala Harris counts on support from former Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter, Republican Liz Cheney, who joins her on the campaign trail.
Barbara Bush has previously voiced support for abortion rights, a central issue in Harris’s campaign against her Republican opponent.
