Cultivating consistency
A new legal provision outlining set dates for submitting tax declarations puts an end to the annual farce of constantly shifting deadlines. The custom of giving extension upon extension cultivated a climate of inconsistency and the wrong mentality.
Now, citizens, but also state and private agencies and companies that are obliged to provide the information needed so that tax declarations can be automatically filled out need to stick to the given deadline.
Such seemingly small changes can sometimes make all the difference.
