Turkey's President Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday congratulated his "friend" Donald Trump on winning the US Presidential election after "a great battle," after Trump had earlier claimed victory.
"I believe…more efforts will be given for a fairer world in this new era that began with the election by American people," Erdogan said in a post on X, adding he hoped regional wars would come to an end. [Reuters]
