Stylianides meets Turkish counterpart

Shipping Minister Christos Stylianides met on Friday in Istanbul with Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu.

Stylianides underlined that the maritime sector is an integral part and an important part of the positive agenda in Greek-Turkish relations.

Stylianides and Uraloglu confirmed the close cooperation between the two countries in the maritime sector and at the level of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in which, he said, there is mutual support in various areas.

Stylianides briefed the Turkish minister on European initiatives in the IMO, particularly in the field of decarbonization of maritime transport.
